September 29 - To further add to the confusion, TV Guide is listing Claire as a guest on The Tonight Show for October 1st while their website still lists her as a guest on October 2nd and 10th. I will try to post an update as soon as a finite date is determined, but if you don't want to be disappointed, you better tape all three nights...I am. September 27 - Don't forget to set those VCRs! MTV is having a MSCL marathon tonight from 10:00PM -- 20 continuous hours of MSCL! :-) September 26 - Our confused friends on The Tonight Show website now have Claire listed as a guest for October 2nd and 10th. September 25 - Ain't It Cool has a spy report from a preview screening of U-Turn. September 24 - Erin reports that the release date for Les Miserables has been pushed until Feb '98 now. Grrrrr... September 22 - Claire has more photos in the current issues of magazines "All About You" and "Teen". Claire was also spotted hanging out at the Blur concert last Thursday at New York's Roseland with Ben Lee and Winona Ryder. September 20 - Unfortunately, The Tonight Show no longer lists Claire as a guest for the October 1st show, presumably due to scheduling conflicts. Columbia has also issued a press release on the premiere for U-Turn on September 22nd. September 19 - Sony has updated the U-Turn site in preparation for the October 3rd release. U-Turn trailers can be downloaded as high quality (6.2MB) and lower quality (2.9MB) QuickTime movies as well as a quote from Jenny, the character Claire plays. September 18 - The current issue of Premiere magazine has a contest where you can win passes to the premiere showing of U-Turn in 10 major cities across the US. The October issue of Buzz magazine includes Claire in its L.A. "Top 100" list and the October issue of Movieline includes a Claire photo in an article on Oliver Stone's U-Turn. September 17 - Two quick reminders for everyone: (1) Anyone who is still pointing to the "http://web.idirect.com/~claire" address for the site should bookmark www.clairedanes.com instead as the site will eventually be migrating to this address over the next few months. (2) For those who are not aware of it, there is also a Planet-Claire mailing list available. To join the Planet Claire mailing list send an e-mail message to planet-claire-request@lists.best.com with the command subscribe in the body of the message for the digest version of the list or with the command subsingle for the single message version of the list. September 16 - Today's Chicago Sun-Times reports that Claire has been slated to host an installment of Saturday Night Live this coming season. No date has been announced as of yet. Claire also ranks #7 in the "Best Dressed at the Oscars" list in this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly. September 15 - Ok, there's plenty of notice, so there's no excuse for missing it! MTV is having another MSCL marathon on Saturday September 27th from 10:00PM onwards - all episodes, in order! :-) Also Claire has two photos in the teen magazine "Twist". September 13 - The Yale Daily News has an article on Claire's acceptance into Yale. (Note: there are a few minor errors in the article: MSCL, as we all know, was not a "sitcom"; Claire does not have brown eyes, but grey/green; all the movies mentioned, with the exception of Brokedown Palace, have completed shooting; and Claire's mom is Carla, not Clara) September 12 - Variety reports that Kate Beckinsale is in final talks to star with Claire in Brokedown Palace. For those who havn't had a chance to hear Claire Danes Poster by Size 14, CDNow has a RealAudio preview. September 10 - Added a RealVideo trailer of the long lost I Love You I Love You Not. September 8 - Claire appears in the latest issue of teen magazine BOP and Claire / Ben were recently sighted in NYC where Beck was taping a live "Sessions" segment for TV which is tentatively set to air on PBS November 8. September 4 - Cinepix Film Properties finally gives I Love You, I Love You Not a LIMITED release date in North America - October 17. September 3 - Robo reports that the October issue of Seventeen has a Claire fashion retrospective with seven pictures and comments. Variety reports that Brokedown Palace is now back on track. Jonathan Kaplan is set to direct, replacing Carl Franklin who quit in June over casting differences with the film's producers.
